Just dropped off this little guy at #111franklin for the #deckthewalls fundraiser next Friday Dec 13th! 🧟‍♀️ Started with a monotype on panel, and then developed it further. I really love this way of working, and will be experimenting some more. In the meantime, here’s “When” 9x12” 🌊
Another little one (as I let out a happy squeal because the tondo’s back), that is off to PA for the Monet’s Garden exhibition @greendrakeartgallery - Check out my stories as well for the studio sale I’m having 💫
Here’s a detail of a new piece, one of four little ones loosely inspired by Monet’s and other gardens, gratefully heading to an exhibition in PA!🍃🌅
A lot of searching through this top corner waterfall... I’ve really enjoyed this section in particular, and wanted to show the development from the last photo of it (roughly), which is in my feed a little further down. Hope to have photos of the full, large piece soon! 🌞💦🌄 . . . . #chashama #monikarosenart #academydaily #aanyaa #contemporaryartcurator #paintanyway #disruptedrealism #contemporaryfigurative #explorenyc

Before & after checking in 700+ guests at #takehomeanude with the iPad team (certainly wasn’t dull) - Good supporting the @nyacademyofart community 🎨🦵🏽
A little #wip #sneakpeak - We’ve got Open Studios at the Brooklyn Army Terminal this weekend, come see what we’ve been cooking! My paintings, monotypes, and drawings will be for sale (early Christmas + Hanukkah gifts anyone?)✨ . Saturday Oct 19 & Sunday Oct 20, 1pm-5pm both days. See you in Building A! . . #openstudiosnyc #brooklynarmyterminal #explorenyc #nycarts #nyartbeat #chasama #chashamaopenstudios #chashamaopenstudios2019 #paintanyway #contemporaryrealism #disruptedrealism #figurativepainting #academydaily #aanya @chashama @alumniassociationnyaa @nyacademyofart #monikarosenart #partsofpaintings
Now that the weather’s rapidly changing, I’m thinking about how to remain sane while productive and how to keep (or transform) remnants of the strategies I was using in the summer. A sucker for being outside, the respites and fuels I keep coming back to are plein air painting, hiking, and any excuse I can find to go take more reference photos outside. However, it’s already getting harder to get myself out of the hermit-like habits that are intensifying in conjunction with this cooler weather ... I love being in the studio, but know that I need some balance. If anyone relates, and has any personal strategies specifically to painting/drawing outside and gear for winter months, or would like to team up to do more things outside - let me know in a dm! ♾ 🍂☀️ . 📷: @fink_yourself ✨
